Holtmere is a private woodland sauna and water experience in Devon. It is designed for small groups who want calm, warmth, cool water, and a slower few hours together — away from noise, strangers, and the ordinary run of things.

The setting is a quiet oak woodland. The experience is unhurried. The sessions are deliberately limited in number.

Heat

A wood-fired sauna tucked into the trees. Warm up slowly, at your own pace.

Water

Cool water immersion as part of the ritual. The contrast is the point.

Rest

Time between sessions to sit, breathe, and be still. Unhurried by design.

Hospitality

Simple, seasonal refreshments. Tea, warmth, and small things done well.

Three hours of exclusive use for your group. The sauna, the water, and the woodland are yours alone. Designed for 6 to 10 guests, with simple hospitality add-ons available to pre-book. Suitable for birthdays, reunions, and gatherings that deserve more than an ordinary afternoon.

Shared session

A quiet session.
Carefully held.

A small-group shared session with strictly limited numbers. These sessions are offered at selected times through the week and are designed for calm rather than social energy. Women- focused sessions will be available from the start. Midweek, dusk, and seasonal formats throughout the year.

Holtmere opens in September 2025. We keep the number of sessions each week deliberately small — this is not a venue built for volume. It is built for the quality of each experience.

When the booking calendar opens, priority list members hear first. In practice, the first sessions fill from the list before any public announcement goes out.
